Two days after the administration enrolled a constitution change charge, the Madhes-based gatherings, at whose request the move was taken, on Thursday called for updating the bill before it is put to vote, saying that their assent was not taken before it was enlisted.
The Madhes-based gatherings’ solidified position has driven the administration into a corner, as it is now confronting hardened resistance from the CPN-UML, which has as of now began upsetting the House to challenge the bill.
Amid a meeting with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Thursday, pioneers of the Madhes-based gatherings said, “The bill does not address the worries of Madhesi, Janajati, underestimated and barred groups”. PM Dahal hosted welcomed the Madhes-based gatherings to look for their support for holding neighborhood decisions, which he has proposed for mid-April.
