KATHMANDU: Health condition of senior orthopaedic surgeon Dr Govinda KC is deteriorating as he continues his fast-unto-death on the 19th day today.

“With every new day passing, he is experiencing difficulty in breathing and talking, while the WBC (white blood cells) count has also decreased,” informed Dr Lijan Maharjan, “His heartbeat is reportedly fluctuating and his oxygen as well as immunity level are also decreasing.”

Maharjan, who is also on the talk team from Dr KC’s side in negotiations with the government, said if the situation continued, his might develop some heart conditions.
