3 killed when Jeep carrying ex Home Minister Ghimire plunges into Trishuli

Ex Home Minister for Home Affairs and Foreign Minister Madhav Prasad Ghimire and two others have gone missing after his car plunged into Trishuli River on Sunday. Three persons* were killed in the mishap. Police said that Ghimire’s mother Chaitanya Kumari, Sub Inspector Ram Chandra Karki and Narayan Prasad Kafle were killed in the mishap, adding that former Minister Ghimire, Mohan Ghimire and Prakash Ghimire are still missing. According to Mugling Police, the car, Ba 9 Cha 1531, plunged into Trishuli River at Darechok-3, Ghoptebhir in Chitwan district at around 4:45 pm. Some seven persons were travelling in the car. They were returning to Kathmandu from Muktinath.
