Development of external ring street in Kathmandu Valley

The external ring street for the Kathmandu valley is back in the news. I first thought it to be an April trick’s joke however it was most certainly not. The arrangement for external ring street did its adjusts 10 years back yet then ran on solid land because of prosecution issues identified with land securing. The judicious for building this street is presumably much more uncertain and faulty today than it was then. The defense for building the external ring street and deciding its arrangement did not originate from an activity arranging exercise. The clarification was given at the time that the idea was to widen the administration street for Melamchi water supply pipeline. This venture in itself demonstrates the administration’s prioritization for the super foundation ventures, overlooking the need to manage the multifaceted nature of inconspicuous upgrades and points of interest. The venture has now gone under the Ministry of Urban Development and I have been informed that it is the Kathmandu Valley Development Authority that has assumed liability for this great attempt. The official statement expresses that the eight-path, 72 kilometer long thruway would encompass the valley ‘in an offer to facilitate the weight of vehicular movement in the valley’. Till today I have not seen any studies on the present status of activity in the valley — how movement will create later on and any vital arrangement on how movement will be guided. We initially need to comprehend what sort of movement we have and how the activity streams. The street extending that was done before the tremor cut structures along the principle streets setting us up for the pictures of devastation created by the seismic tremor. The wide streets have pulled in more movement, which stalls out in long lines at the following street crossing.
